Remembering God's Faithfulness

I went to my old blog and on there I posted a video that my cousin made for us while Reagan was in the hospital and her boyfriend had written the beautiful song about Reagan that is palying in the background. It's such a beautiful video. it brought back the memory of being at Children's Hospital for so long and it brought back the feelings I felt as each day came and went.
My God is SO faithful! Looking back at that time in our lives it just seems like such a blur and almost unreal. Looking back, it doesn't seem like I actually went through all of that! It has only been almost 5 months since she has been home! and I can not believe how much my precious angel has grown....She amazes me everyday.
When we were in Children's I remember one day where we spoke with the neurologist about her head bleed and the seizures she had a couple of weeks prior. He told us that she could potentially be a "slow learner"....Hearing that broke my heart! Having a child, you want him/her to be 100% perfect in every way. I was not prepared to take care of a mentally ill child, but if that was God's plan...I would do it diligently. But now...almost 5 months later...Reagan shows NO signs of being "slow" ..she has accomplished every milestone on time, if not EARLIER...yes! I said earlier! That is just a true and VERY REAL example of God's love and faithfulness! She is a "normal" 6 month old baby...It is so hard to remember those days when we were in Birmingham and going through trials day-to-day. But when I go back to watch that video or look at pictures, the memories just floods my mind, and my heart.
I pray that Reagan's story will be a testimony of faith, hope, and love. Faith in knowing that God will provide, hope in knowing that He will be with you in the midst of ANY trial you may be facing, and love, the "greatest of all". God's Love is unsurpassable and the most AMAZING love you will EVER encounter. Through Reagan's struggle I have found his Love even more. God has and will forevermore receive the glory!!

Beth Moore is my hero!

I am going to be leading the new Beth Moore bible study, Esther. (and may I add?...that Beth Moore is soo cool that she has her OWN tab at the top of the Lifeway web page...yeah, That's how she rolls!)

If you have never done a Beth Moore bible study, ladies, it's ABOUT TIME! Pick this one up..find a group in your church who is doing it and get at it! It's going to be amazing! I am leading my precious friends in the college ministry at my church and could not be more stoked about it! I have felt for a long time that God was calling me to teach and here we go! I am finally doing it! I am picking up my materials this week! and going over a few things before we start on March 12th. (Every Thursday at 7pm.) It is going to be such a joyous thing...gathering with my girlfriends and teaching them about the word of God...Beth Moore style!

So please pray for me as I become a leader to these ladies. That the only ones who are meant to do this bible study will be included in the group and that I will be an encourager and support system for these girls. I do have a problem with procrastination..so pray that this won't happen during this time. and That every lesson will be strong and will speak to each and every girl!

Teen Abstinence=Unrealistic --B. Palin

So, Bristol Palin had her sweet baby boy and she is telling the world that teen abstinence is "unrealistic".

I am not sure how I feel about that. I was taught growing up about abstinence before marriage. I went through "True Love Waits" seminars and conferences and youth rallies and....you get the picture...I even received a "TLW" ring from my parents when I was about 13 or 14 years old. (Which I left in the McDonald's bathroom in Birmingham..how ironic.) So for me to sit here and say that, "Abstinence before marriage is the way to go" is very hard for me. Secondly...if you haven't already guessed....I did not abstain from sex before marriage. So instead of being a hypocrite and telling everyone who is not married that abstinence is the key...I will agree with Bristol and say that abstinence is TOTALLY unrealistic. Now, I do have STRONG beliefs in God and I KNOW that Jesus Christ is my savior and I believe there are stronger people than I was on this topic and have not given up there V card. I applaud you, and honestly look up to you. I think those of us who have given up the aforementioned card can agree with em in saying that SEX CHANGES EVERYTHING!...it makes everything more difficult, even when you're married! but then to be 18 years old and pregnant for the 1st time in your life is little overwhelming. That is why when Reagan gets older and decides she wants to have sex with her boyfriend, I just pray that she will come to me and talk to me about safe sex and eveything that goes along with it. Now...I am not COMPLETELY dillusional in thinking that my teenage daughter will actually come and talk to me about sex...but I will try my hardest to teach her the right things....

We can preach and teach our kids, but ultimately they will do what they want to do. We just have to guide them in the right direction.

No Tomorrow...Choose TODAY!:D'NOW 09

I am soo PUMPED about Disciple Now this weekend...A little less than 3 hours and I will be joined with hundreds of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ doing NOTHING but worshiping God! :o) How awesome!
I will try and update as the weekend progresses!! Pray that every student will not be held back, that they will chose THIS DAY to come forth and accept Jesus as their Savior. That every student will let go, and let God!

Her future is so bright!

Yes....mommy and "aunt" Bailey bought miss Reagan some sunglasses! This picture was taken this morning on our way to daycare! Isnt she PRECIOUS!?!?

We went shopping yesterday, much needed shopping I might add, and found these adorable shades for my little one! (The Children's Place: 2 for $5!) Immediatley after purchase we put them on her! She LOVED them! Never touched them, or tried to rip them off her face. I was soo happy. My little Jackie O! I mean, COME ON PEOPLE...Could she BE anymore CUTER!?!?

MUCH needed Pedi!

{I cant believe my bloggers block lasted this long...I am so ashamed...}

I am soo excited about today!! My mom is coming into town for a dentist appt. and taking Reagan and me to lunch, along with my grandmother and my aunt! Afterwards we are going to get pedicures! GOSH..my poor toes have been neglected for some time now and a pedi is much overdue!

So now...I am stumped on what color I should go for?...The classic Red?...My signature Pink?...Black maybe...OOO or maybe a bright green so my toes can reflecct the fungi that has grown there in the past few months! (ha ha I am only kidding!)

I might go with black in mourning of Valentine's Day...or as I like to call it, "Single Awareness Day"...:o) maybe with a bright pink heart on my 2 big toes??..I'll let ya know! :o) I'll snap a pic and post it on here when we get done so you all can be uber jealous with my beautiful feet! gosh..can u tell I am excited!?!?

Anywhoo...Me, along with my wonderful co-workers, have started this water drinking kick! We are all drinking half our weight in water...which seems like a lot...but it's not. I have 2 drink about 4 or 5 20 oz. glasses a day! I have been doing pretty good so far...just have to run and do the "i gotta pee soo bad" dance down the hall to the bathroom! :o) I'm pretty sure at one point throughout the day there is NOBODY in the office...we should put a sign up that says, "Need a cashier?? Check the bathroom!" but just doing this for past week, I feel so much better! So I reckon it's doing some kind of good!

OLA for NOW! Lookout for my pedi. pics!! :o)
