Had a dream last night…ok, I have dreams EVERY NIGHT. But every now and then I dream about Reagan-Mostly about milestones in her life that she hasn’t yet reached. The last one I had about her was about her having teeth. She is JUST NOW growing her very first tooth! :o) (and, might I add, it is the CUTEST tooth I have ever seen!!) Well, last night I dreamed that she was running around the house. The start of my dream she couldn’t yet walk, much less run! But it seemed like I sat her down somewhere and then all of a sudden she starts running/waddling towards me.
So, my thoughts this morning are: “Do they REALLY grow up that fast?” It’s so scary to think about it. Today my cousin, well “2nd cousin” turns one. It seems like YESTERDAY that she was born. And then 4 short months later (which felt like ETERNITY) Reagan was here. So that got me thinking even more…MY CHILD IS ABOUT TO BE A ONE YEAR OLD!!!
“Where DOES the time go?” –mom [speaking of my mother I am starting to sound more and MORE like her everyday….what’s that about????]
So as far as Reagan being just shy of 3 months from turning 1 year old…I feel like I haven’t accomplished anything!? I don’t know if ‘accomplished’ was the right word I was looking for, but it’s what came out, soo we’ll go with that. However, I am excited for her birthday because, since her b-day is in the summer, (which I have ALWAYS wanted mine to be) I am throwing her a swimming party. I want to come up with a silly “official” title for it like….”Reagan’s Fishy Escapades” or..something..haha and have a cake designed to fit the theme.
ANYWAYS….I have plenty of time to plan that. I guess!?
Woo-hoo!! Being a mom is so fun! I think I am looking most forward to embarrassing her and acting “cool” when she’s in Jr.high! but really..I don’t have to ACT COOL…b-c I AM COOL!!!!

Too cute! I'm sure you'll still be cool when she's in Junior High . . . SHE just may not think so. :)
ReplyDeleteI was doing the nursery yesterday and thought...gosh Rachel must not be going to church on the days I do nursery because I have not seen Reagan in my class for 2 strait months (I only do it 1 time a month). Then it hit me...Reagan isn't a little baby anymore - she is in the crawlers class. I can't believe she is already in that stage and then in no time she will be in the walkers class. She is so beautiful and is always smiling.
ReplyDelete@ Brittany: I did not make it to church Sunday! (shame on me!)We got home late Saturday and stayed the night at my aunt's unexpectedly and I didn't have anything to get ready for church...so we played hookie! haha But they haven't said anything to me about her moving to Crawlers!! I worked in the crawlers room last Sunday! It was fun..so I will probably continue to do it! Especially if my baby will be in there! :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's freaking me out how fast she is growing up! haha It seems like yesterday when Bailey was Reagan's age! (SHE IS SO CUTE BTW!) See you soon! (btw, do you do bible study or sunday school classes? I want to get plugged in somewhere other than college...It just seems irrelevant!? haha I dont know...Let me know! :o)
